Dale McDuffe Obituary - 2021 (2024)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Fredrick Dale McDuffe announce his sudden passing on March 30, 2021 at the age of 70 years.

Dale or “Duffy” as many knew him, was born in The Pas, MB on June 18, 1950 to Charles and Eileen McDuffe. He was an addition to brother Barry who had been born a year earlier. The family left The Pas and lived in a number of locations in southern Manitoba, including Pope, where the youngest brother Vern became the final addition to the family. In 1962 they moved and settled in Dauphin, where at a young age, he became employed with the CNR as a trainman. He was hired on in Dauphin and worked in The Pas where he could hold in his craft.

He was a head strong young man which set his path to self employment as he grew older. He excelled as a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed the very successful business he owned and operated for years. He enjoyed his business and continued to work, never thinking of retirement. It just was not in his vocabulary. His life was full of adventure, good times and bad and too numerous to mention in an obituary. To those who knew him well, he was a true friend.

Left to mourn his passing are Barry (Marion) and their families and Vern (Cynthia) and their families, daughter Kim (Jorden) and family of Winnipeg, son Shaun (Auriel) and family of Langley, British Columbia and special friend Karen Lundstrom of Dauphin. His wish was to be cremated and due to covid restrictions, a family grave side service will be conducted. We hope the many friends and relatives will be understanding.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
