AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 23

Sell out! Here’s my big hit, hope you like it. You’re all blind, but me? I’m here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with the intro video.

William Regal is in the ring and on the mic and says we’ll hear from Mr. Friedman next week, because he doesn’t have time for places like Chicago. Rather he’s on the set of a major motion picture, and Regal is sure we’re all wondering what the union between the two of them is.

He pauses for “f*ck you, Regal!” chants and calls them (rightfully) uncouth before saying a number of weeks ago he sent MJF an email that we won’t be privy to until next week, when Max will explain everything.

Enter Jon Moxley.

He makes his way to the ring, his face a mask of anger, but as he slides in the ring, “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson gets between them and backs Jon off. Mox shoves him but Dragon manages to hold the line and get on the mic. He says he doesn’t know why Regal did what he did, and that was a bad thing, but so have both of them.

So he’s asking Jon, because William has a bad neck and two brain bleeds, please don’t hurt him. Bryan asks him more and slaps him to try and put some sense into him before falling to his knees and apologizing. He doesn’t care if they’re booing, and Mox knows the struggles Regal deals with, and Dragon’s dad suffered with that too, and this is more than wrestling.

When his dad struggled, he didn’t understand, and only one person could teach him, and that’s William Regal. And for the last years of his life, before his dad passed away, Bryan was able to love him, because of Regal, and asks Moxley to imagine someone teaching his daughter to love him.

Bryan asks Jon to save him for him, because he loves him.

Jon takes a good long beat in the ropes to think about what Bryan said and then gets real close to Regal. He says he only wants one thing from him. He wants him to run far away, as far away as he can, and never, ever come back. William slowly turns and walks away.

Renee Paquette interviews Keith Lee backstage.

Before he can answer, Shane Strickland rolls up and Lee tells him to choose his words wisely. Strickland looks at the camera and covers it with his hand, and asks Keith to talk in private.

Jake Hager vs. Orange Cassidy (c) (AEW All-Atlantic Championship)

Hager takes Cassidy’s sunglasses and puts them on with his hat. He swats Orange’s attempts to reclaim them away, so he just puts his hands in his pockets and gets on with the shin kicks. Jake blasts him into the corner, sidestep a charge and Cassidy knocks his hat off by smashing him into the turnbuckles!

Taking him back inside, Orange sends him out with a low bridge and stalks after the hat, picking it up, 2.0 try to get it back and Daniel Garcia succeeds until Rocky Romero knocks him down! Cassidy has the hat, off the ropes, cut off a dive and 2.0 return the hat to their man as we go to break.

Back from commercial, action on the floor, Hager into the barricade, corkscrew springboard senton atomico takes out the goons at ringside! Back inside, Jake goes for a suplex, Orange reverses to Stundog Millionaire and follows it up with a tilt-a-whirl DDT!

Orange Punch reversed into a Rock Bottom... NOPE! Ankle lock applied, Cassidy scrambling to get away, upkicks, Hager lets go to fix his hat, Orange Punch connects! La casadora...

Orange Cassidy wins by pinfall with a victory roll pin to retain the AEW All-Atlantic Championship.

Post-match, the Factory come to the stage and QT Marshall gets on the mic.

He says they’ve got a lot of unfinished business and since Orange has no problem giving out All-Atlantic title shots one after the other...

The Factory surrounds the ring and the lights go out.

When they come back up, Julia Hart is stood on the stage, shrouded in red mist. She raises a hand and brings it down, and the House of Black are waiting behind Best Friends to put boots to them! They follow it up by putting the Factory down, too!

They drag a security guard to the stage, Buddy Matthews hooks him and tosses him over to Brody King... DANTE’S INFERNO!

Malakai Black gets on the mic and asks members of the House of Black to rise.

And we’re going to break.

Back from commercial, “All Ego” Ethan Page cuts an entrance promo about how he’s gonna beat Ricky Starks and make the crowd cry about it like the losers they are.

“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. “Absolute” Ricky Starks (AEW World Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Finals)

Page co*cky early, dancing around, Starks corners him and unleashes on him with punches but all it takes is one shot to the ribs to turn his tide around. Starks gets a spear but can’t capitalize because of his injured ribs. All Ego takes him to the floor and throws him into the barricade to send us to break.

Back from commercial, trading punches in the corner, off the ropes, Page with a front kick, blocks a DDT by hanging Starks over the top rope! To the floor, referee Stephon Smith ejects Stokely Hathaway from ringside, back inside, up in the turnbuckles... STARKS WITH A SUPERPLEX!

Right hands into the corner, whip reversed, swinging neckbreaker keeps Ricky in the fight! Tornado DDT... NOPE! Ramming Starks into the corner, big elbow, powerslam, still just a nearfall! Float over the Ego’s Edge, schoolboy for two! Roundhouse kicks from All Ego, off the ropes, duck a lariat, Ricky hits another spear!

Another one...

Ricky Starks wins the tournament by pinfall with a spear, becoming #1 contender to the AEW World Championship.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, commentary walks us through the Jade Cargill / LBow Wow footage.

Renee Paquette interviews Jade Cargill about it.

She says she’s not giving “that wack ass rapper” any more attention because she’s got her belt back and she’s gonna have a celebration next week. Mark Sterling will address the Bow Wow situation legally, and he offers “no comment” as her official statement.

He serves Kiera Hogan with papers that indicate that Jade no longer needs her services.

Death Triangle (PAC, Penta el Zero M, & Rey Fenix) (c) vs. the Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson) (AEW World Trios Championship Best of Seven Match 2)

Omega and Fenix to start, jawing at each other, shaking hands, Kenny fires off a V-Trigger and all hell breaks loose! On the floor, Matt powerbombs Penta into the apron, Omega hits a big spinebuster on Rey! Calling for the Terminator Dive, off the ropes, Fenix cuts him off with an Ace Crusher!

Rey with a tornillo to the floor to wipe everybody out! Triplicate splashes from Death Triangle, PAC up and over, Omega with standing switches, back elbow, the Bastard down and out and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Omega biting PAC, the Bastard shakes him off and throws a German suplex! Penta tags in, double crossody, roll-through into a DDT to Matt, backbreaker for Nick, one for the other Jackson, and one for Kenny too! Tag to Fenix, double jump arm drag, crotch Nick in the ropes, double jump Frankensteiner to follow!

Superkick lays Matt Jackson out, PAC back in, Matt Jackson runs interference and he takes a V-Trigger! Dragon suplex follows, the match breaks down again, the Bucks take the Bastard’s protective face shield off, stomps, tearing at the nose, quick tags, they want the BTE Trigger and get it... FENIX BREAKS IT UP!

Corkscrew senton atomico over the top from Nick, Omega has PAC alone, off the ropes... V-TRIGGER! Electric chair, the Bastard fights out, whip reversed, fireman’s carry into a Go to Sleep... STILL NO! Tag made, the Bucks get PAC up but Fenix walks the ropes for a running knee to Matt, victory roll from the Bastard, only two!

Low bridge takes Kenny out, Rey dives on him with a tope con giro, PAC grabs a waistlock, mule kick low blow from Matt Jackson but referee Rick Knox doesn’t see it! Alex Abrahantes is on the apron, Matt has the timekeeper’s hammer but Penta is right behind him with a hammer of his own and spikes him with it...

Death Triangle win by pinfall with a lateral press from PAC on Matt Jackson, going 2-0 in the best of seven.

Post-match, Fenix is upset at Penta using the hammer.

Renee Paquette is on the stage.

She announces that because Thunder Rosa is so seriously hurt, she and AEW management have come to an agreement for her to relinquish the title. That being said, welcome your new AEW Women’s World Champion, Jamie Hayter!

Team DMD make their entrance and Britt Baker says they weren’t considering the word interim and this is just telling everyone what we already know, and we go to break.

Jericho Appreciation Society (Anna Jay & Tay Melo) vs. Skye Blue & Willow Nightingale vs. Team DMD (Dr. Britt Baker, DMD & Jamie Hayter)

Jay and Hayter to start, Jamie with a wristlock, tag to Melo, front chancery, Anna rushes in but Hayer suplexes both of them! Bodyslam, tag to Britt, choking Tay in the corner. Willow comes in, stacking ‘em up for a hip attack and then a lariat, slinging Jay into a boot and following it with a scoop and a slam!

She splashes her own partner onto Anna... NOPE! Whip reversed, Tay runs interference, Nightingale to the floor, Jay whips her hard into the barricade and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Blue kicking away at Anna Jay, cover but Hayter breaks it up! Willow with a Death Valley Driver as the match breaks down into “everybody do something cool” territory, superkick into a Yoshi Tonic but Baker breaks it up! Haytbreaker, Britt off the ropes...

Team DMD win by pinfall with the stomp from Dr. Britt Baker, DMD on Skye Blue.

Commentary informs that due to Thunder Rosa relinquishing the title, Toni Storm’s reign has retroactively had the “interim” qualifier removed from it.

Renee Paquette interviews FTR and Top Flight backstage.

Dax Harwood says last week their match with AR Fox against Death Triangle impressed him, and he wants them to take over tag wrestling the way they have. Dante and Darius say they’ve been impressed with FTR for years, and they challenge them to a match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

FTR agree for Rampage.

The Acclaimed make their entrance and hold court in the ring.

Anthony Bowens says there’s a lot to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Eve, including their successful defense of their tag titles. Plus his shoulder’s feeling better, and Daddy Ass is all healed up and ready to scissor! They go to scissor and—

Jay Lethal and co. interrupt, and Jeff Jarrett calls them ass clowns and warns them of a beating. Billy Gunn gets them off the screen and now they scissor!

Commentary hypes up this week’s Rampage (my guy Anthony Henry in action!) and next week’s Dynamite and we go to break.

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii (ROH World Championship)

Trading strikes early, Ishii with a snapmare into a kick to the back, Jericho bails and walks around the ring for a breather before coming back in with elbows. Tom wants more, roaring at him, starting to trade elbows as Chris lights him up hard enough to make him happy, Ishii with a Saito suplex!

Off the ropes, Jericho blocks a sliding lariat, ducks an enzuigiri, stalemate! Off the ropes, shoulder block, neither man moving an inch until Tom knocks him down! Trading chops now, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, the chops are still flying, Jericho bleeding from the raw meat that used to be his chest! Ishii backing him into the corner, rough hands tearing into the rivulets of blood, Chris charges him into the corner and lights him up with lariats!

Tom with a Tenryu Powerbomb... NOPE! To the apron, Ishii trying to suplex him over the ropes, Jericho stops himself short and lands on the apron... AND HE SPIKES TOM WITH A DDT ON THE APRON! To the floor, trading forearms, back inside, more forearms, Ishii stumbles but snaps off a German suplex anyway!

Jericho ducks a lariat, German suplex of his own, another one, Tom is fired up but his legs give out! Lionsault... NOPE! Codebreaker... NOT ENOUGH! Waiting for Ishii to rise, Judas Effect blocked, big headbutt connects! Drawing him up, sliding lariat... JERICHO KICKS OUT!

Leg pick, looking for the Walls of Jericho but Tom throws him off and hits a Codebreaker of his own! Off the ropes, big lariat... STILL NO! Block an enzuigiri, the Walls are on in the middle of the ring! Ishii trying to find a way out, posting on his elbows, crawling, rolling onto his back but Chris refuses to break the hold, throws some forearms, pivots to the Liontamer... ISHII FLIPS HIM OFF BUT TAPS ALL THE SAME! IT’S OVER!

Chris Jericho wins by submission with the Liontamer to retain the ROH World Championship.

Post-match, Jericho storms up to the commentary desk and throws the belt at the table, staring Ian Riccaboni down... CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI COMES UP BEHIND HIM AND LAYS HIM OUT WITH AN ELBOW!

That’s the show, folks.
